Swim Lessons

MSTA offers our members Individual or group Swim Lessons taught by Marlins Coaches or Marlins senior swimmers. Lessons are currently not available to non-members.  *** REGISTRATION FOR 2022 IS NOW OPEN! (CLICK THIS LINK) ***
 

Individual Lessons

Individual Lessons can be arranged directly through one of our Marlins Coaches. Please see the Marlins Coach Page for more information.
 

Group Lessons

Group Lessons are taught by Marlins senior swimmers with supervision by Olivia Gore, the Head Coach for the Future Marlins and Swim Lessons. The program offers three levels of group instruction from familiarity with the water to stroke development.

 
Classes
 
 Level AgeDescription 
Beginner  16 Months – 3 YearsGentle instruction, learn to relax in water safely. Children will acquire kicking, gliding, and back floating skills.
Intermediate3 – 6 years Swimmers introduced to large pool. Basic skills: bubbles, floating on front and back, and basic freestyle skills.  Also introduction to basic backstroke skills.
 Advanced 4 – 8 YearsDevelop basic freestyle with rotary breathing, backstroke skills, treading water and diving safety skills; learning to swim length of the pool; introduction to breaststroke, butterfly, and flip turns.
   
Group lessons are held from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm, Monday - Thursday with Friday being a make-up day if necessary (unless otherwise noted). Each weekly session is $45. You can sign up for group lessons on our Registration page.

For the 2022 summer season there will be 6 sessions: 

Session 1: June 13-16
Session 2: June 20-23
Session 3: June 27-30 
Session 4: July 5-8 (No lessons on Mon. July 4th)
Session 5: July 11, 12, & 14, 15 (No lessons on Wed. July 13th due to All Star Relays Swim Meet)
Session 6: July 18-21
